Duke beats North Carolina! (in alpha generation)

As difficult as it is, we tip our hats to our good friend Portable Alpha Daily whose University of North Carolina Tar Heels taught Alpha Male’s alma mater (and UNC archrival) Duke University a lesson in defensive basketball last night. As Portable Alpha Daily’s special video presentation suggested, Duke “had a bad day”.
On an unrelated note, it seems Duke’s endowment trounced North Carolina’s in FY2006 by a score of 20.2% to 19.2%.
Says Duke’s November 10, 2006 press release:
“In fiscal 2006, DUMAC’s investments earned a 20.2 percent return, placing Duke third among the 50 largest college and university endowments.”
Sensing an embarrassing defeat, UNC’s November 16, 2006 press release followed by lamenting the fact the Tar Heels just couldn’t edge over that magical 20% mark:
“The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Foundation Investment Fund recorded a 19.2 percent net investment return…first among public universities and in the top 6 percent overall.”
Okay, maybe they didn’t “lament”. But you know they were jealous.
